It is without doubt that you and Prince Mensah are the great pillars of OGOV. Many thanks indeed for your rich comments, upon that clever examination on my subjects.

On a serious note, I must add that 'Immortalised Legacies of Asomdwehene' is remarkable. It has a well-woven combination of Bobobee's originality in aesthetic vocabulary, and an inheritance of the legendary Kofi Awoonor's stately tone.

I cherish what Prince Mensah has just said about the Most Snr Poet's contribution.

*I have reposted my comments, for it needed some corrections. Thanks.

Welldone Most Snr Poet Bobobee.Darko Antwihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01345172369072331718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7555516329392912719.post-86762955622023853662012-08-09T16:20:01.908+00:002012-08-09T16:20:01.908+00:00It is better to go to a house of mourning than to ...It is better to go to a house of mourning than to go to a house of feasting, for death is the destiny of every man; the living should take this to heart - Ecclesiastes 7: 2

Tears are better teachers than laughter. The soul cleans cobwebs in the hurricane of sorrow and the mind is forced to reset its priorities. This period of mourning for our fallen leader has solicited some of the best modern Ghanaian dirges ever.

Mr. Bobobee was on point to note how Darko Antwi was prescient in setting the tone for the tragic event of President Mills' passing. It is also important to note how the passing of an great intellectual has galvanized the young to seek the best they can make out of their own intellectual capacities.

Indeed, the 'Immortalised Legacies of Asomdwehene' hits a lot of home runs on these issues. My favorite lines are

Left behind we wait in trust for the resuscitation
of exalted legacies you gave us in this short time

The brevity of life and the necessity of leaving a good legacy should be enough pressures for all of us to make most of our time on earth.

President Mills is a shining example of faith over circumstance and dedication to one's purpose in llife. If 10% of Ghana's youth can follow his example of honor, humility and intelligence, this country shall have a future bright as the heavens that received our late President.

Thank you, Mr. Bobobee. May we all seek to be as good as those who overcame circumstances, leaving legacies in the world.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05633647444598381866noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7555516329392912719.post-30135228011748784152012-08-07T21:19:32.237+00:002012-08-07T21:19:32.237+00:00This comment has been removed by the author.Darko Antwihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01345172369072331718noreply@blogger.com
